What's Needed When It's Needed.

KIT

Packed before disaster strikes and ready when it does, CaresKits provide essential hygiene, comfort, and basic first-aid items to help individualsand families navigate the critical first 72 hours after a disaster.

Inspiration

When natural disasters occur, communities are often inundated with supplies from well-meaning individuals, but are left unprepared and scrambling for even their basic needs. With this in mind, and after the firsthand experiences from numerous deployments, DeWeather Cares created "Cares Kits".

Cares Kit

Each Cares Kit comes in a weatherproof, resealable pouch containing 3 days worth of basic personal hygiene items, first aid supplies and other items intended to get impacted individuals through the immediate 3 days following a natural disaster until infrastructure and long-term assistance can be established. Nothing in the Cares Kits requires water enabling water to be used for more important purposes like hydration.

Assembly

Every single CaresKit is assembled by hand by one of our dedicated volunteers at our headquarters. Kits are then placed into waterproof totes and stored to be ready for the next deployment.

Distribution

When the Disaster Task Force deploys to impacted communities, the Task Force members focus on getting Cares Kits directly into the hands of those who need them most.
